Pow-a-Mate Technologies is an organisation that focuses on the growing energy crisis in Africa. We endeavour to provide and where possible develop new technologies that replace older conventional ones in an effort to reduce electricity consumption or overcome power outages.

A strong emphasis within our organisation is that of renewable or green energy - predominantly solar energy as a means of generating power. In doing so we are able to offer solutions to our clients while reducing carbon emissions and fighting global warming.

The products we specialise in are Solar Water Geyser systems, Solar Street Lights, Solar Lighting Solutions, CFL’s (Compact Fluorescent Lighting) and Inverters. Our solar products are used successfully where adequate power supply is a problem or the need to demonstrate energy savings is a requirement. Our Inverter systems are designed to overcome business interruptions or provide back-up power to residential homes when power outages occur.

SOLAR GEYSERS

Electricity tariffs are increasing at a staggering rate and our solar geysers offer a cost-effective solution to clients to reduce their monthly electricity bill. Our systems have shown to be extremely reliable and efficient in heating water and we are also proud to be recognised by Eskom as an accredited installer of solar geysers in residential and commercial applications.

SOLAR STREET LIGHTS

Our SolarPath™ solar street light solutions are seen as go-to options for street, general area, and other lighting solutions. Quality Assurance and Quality control ensure reliable performance right from the start.

SOLAR LIGHTING – INFORMAL HOUSING

We are also very proud to offer lighting solutions for low cost homes, informal and rural settlements where no electricity is available. The Solar Lantern and Low Cost Lighting System provide a safe and cost effective alternative to candles or kerosene. In conjunction with UNICEF we have successfully distributed these systems as part of their Lesotho lighting project.

COMPACT FLORESCENT LIGHTS (CFL’S)

Pow-a-Mate Technologies is excited to launch its patented DIY concept in energy saving lights or CFL’s. This is essentially a CFL with interchangeable components which not only allows for greater application of the product but also generates significant cost savings to the user. INVERTERS

Our range of inverters or battery back-up systems, are designed to overcome power outages. They provide back-up power in a wide range of applications – from powering a TV, Computer, lights or Hi-Fi etc, to larger commercial applications. Inverters enable a user to continue using an appliance, without any interruption, in the event of a power failure.
